In this month’s Client Spotlight, we’ll highlight our work with NASW Assurance Services Inc. (ASI), a Maryland-based company that provides insurance to social workers.
NASW Assurance Services Inc. (ASI) has been a Smart HR client for over 10 years (and counting) and one of the highlights of our many projects with the company was helping them to win the Frederick County Best Places to Work competition in 2015. Not only did the award bring positive press to the company, it also played a huge role in boosting morale and ultimately attracting new talent.
Smart HR facilitated the project from start to finish, first showing the organization’s leadership the value of entering a Best Places to Work competition. Once the team was on board, Smart HR developed the narrative portions of the employee engagement survey that served as a part of the company’s submission, and then coached the CEO on the interview portion.
After the company was named winner of the medium size business category – beating out 100 other employers competing for the award – Smart HR developed a strategic communication plan to announce and promote the recognition to employees and the business community.
An unexpected but added bonus was that the client learned a lot about their internal systems and culture, and were able to make the adjustments needed to not only win the award, but also improve their company’s procedures and overall morale.
